Meet Asha Aman Abdul-Mujeeb, digitally known as, "Laythemedgeslayton". Originally from Los Angeles, CA, culture and creativity runs through Asha's veins. Attending charter schools while living in Crenshaw and South Central allowed her to combine culture and professionalism into one. This intersection is seen throughout her work.
In 2018, Asha transferred from Pasadena Community College to North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. While studying Public Relations at A&T's School of Journalism, Asha realized she had a niche for storytelling in an authentic way. With that discovery she picked up a second major in Afro-American studies.
Contemporary artist, creative educator, published writer and historian enthusiast. Asha is a multidisciplinary that has carved out a unique space for herself that does not fit the stereotype of your average 22-year-old college senior.
Some of her proudest accomplishments to date includes being published in several CRWN Mag articles, founding Everyday Aggies, a digital platform that narrates the authentic HBCU experience through visual storytelling such as photography and videography, as well as creative direction for artists and local brands.
